Fan-cooled workwear was invented in Japan in 2004. Twenty years later, it's standard equipment on job sites across the country. ZIPPKOOL brings that engineering to North America.
Cool the person, not the space
The idea came from a simple observation: air conditioning cools a room whether or not anyone is in it. On a job site there is no room, and the person is the only thing that needs cooling.
In 2004, our chairman founded a company to build on that principle, and fan-cooled workwear went on sale in Japan. Twenty years of iteration followed, batteries, airflow, fabrics, and the fit details that decide whether a garment gets worn or left in the truck.
Today the technology is everywhere in Japanese industry, and the company that invented it is still the one developing it.

The problem arrived before the solution did
Heat is a growing hazard on American job sites, and the tools most crews use against it, ice packs, wet towels, cooling vests that need a freezer, haven't changed in decades. They work for a couple of hours. A shift is ten.
Fan-cooled workwear solves this, and it's been solving it in Japan for twenty years. ZIPPKOOL exists to bring proven technology to crews who don't have it yet, built to the ANSI classes and OSHA framework American sites work under, not adapted after the fact.

We build for a hundred years out. Cooling a person uses a fraction of the energy it takes to cool a space, a difference that compounds across every worker, every site, every summer.
Our aim is straightforward: workers who finish the shift in better condition than they started it, and employers who see that show up in retention, output, and incident rates.
Japanese engineering, North American operation
ZIPPKOOL INC. is the North American arm of a Japanese group that has designed, developed, and manufactured fan-cooled workwear since 2004. Product development and manufacturing standards are set by the parent. Sales, stock, documentation, and support are handled here.
That means domestic stock and domestic support, not orders routed overseas and answered on a twelve-hour delay.
